As a health enthusiast and seasoned host of culinary experiences, teALCHEMY founder Lynda Budd is following her passion for tea through the tasty world of food and drinks. We invite you to join us on the adventure and we’re sure this introduction to the wonderful world of the many things you can do with tea, will inspire you throughout this holiday season.

Lynda is a certified Tea Sommelier and our resident Tea Alchemist, she uses the principles of alchemy to develop unique blends of loose leaf teas that can be steeped and enjoyed on their own or mixed into other recipes to create truly original tea experiences.

As alchemists work to create something new through blending, Lynda also encourages people to blend teALCHEMY products into their own recipes to ‘create your own chemistry’.

What Can You Do With Tea?

As our tagline mentions, you can blend tea, stir it, rub it and more but what does this mean? Tea can be used in soups and stews, in oatmeal, rubbed on roasts and baked, to name a few and we are always discovering more new ways to get creative with blending tea into other products. Here are some of our favorite ways to move beyond the pot for your next tea experience.

Blend It

Winter weather has arrived and it’s safe to say that cold and flu season has too, if you’re looking for new soup recipes to try, why not try substituting tea as an alternative to broth for your next batch of homemade soup? We recommend using teALCHEMY’s Lapsang Souchong Black Tea to make flavorful Miso Soup.

Sip It

If you need a little extra green energy to beat the winter blues, you’re probably considering making a smoothie and we recommend the Green Tea Matcha Smoothie. Our matcha is made from the finest quality Stone ground green tea and will blend nicely with your favorite green smoothie ingredients.

Rub It

In our Thanksgiving blog post we mentioned our signature Tea Rub as an exciting secret ingredient paired with traditional turkey seasonings and with holiday party season in full swing, we suggest trying our Tea Rub with any holiday roasts. The teALCHEMY rub is made from an aromatic black tea and also tastes delicious on fishes, especially baked salmon.

Stir It

As you search for the perfect treat to bring to your next holiday party, you may be looking for a new cocktail recipe and we’re sure you’ll love our cocktail blends. Our signature cocktail is made with our Berry Blast tea but for this festive time of year why not try Zulu an indulgent mix of chocolate, mint, vodka and more, made using teALCHEMY Chocolatey Mint Rooibos tea.

Create Some Chemistry

Now that you know when it comes to getting your tea beyond the pot, the possibilities are endless, we encourage you to browse the Tea Boutique, create a blend of your own and let us know about your next unique tea experience.

Happy Holidays and look out for upcoming blog posts where we continue to introduce creative ways to blend your tea, including making natural beauty and wellness products like Tea Bath Soaks.
