OUR STORY

At teAlchemy, we love tea. We travel the globe to bring you the latest in tea trends, herbal blends and artisan tea ware.

teAlchemy is a Canadian brand based out of Toronto. In honour of Canada’s beautiful and ever-changing climate, we select seasonal teas to reflect that and create seasonally inspired recipes and pairings using those teas. We encourage you to try out our recipes at home. We’re sure you’ll love them. 

Tea has a long history of rituals varying among every culture. We aspire to build upon these traditions, experimenting with new ways to bring tea into the modern lifestyle. We encourage developing direct relationships with our customers to find out your individual needs so we can make tea a part of your home, restaurant, yoga studio, place of business, and the list is endless.

OUR BEGINNING

As a health enthusiast and seasoned host of culinary experiences, the founder of teAlchemy, Lynda Budd dreamed of following her passion in the tasty world of food and drinks. On a quest for new flavours Lynda discovered her passion for tea. She has since become a certified Tea sommelier and continues to grow in the immense tea field through traveling globally to tea estates as well as attending tea and culinary conferences and trade shows. teAlchemy has evolved organically as Lynda has come to discover her own vision of the tea world and how she wants to fit in it.

OUR NAME

We chose the name teAlchemy (pronounced Tea Alchemy) because Alchemists worked towards creating something new through blending. We believe well-prepared, good quality tea is delectable on its own and that's why we offer a great selection of pure loose leaf teas.  As blenders we also combine different types and styles of tea with one another, introducing ingredients outside of tea as well.  The culinary world is filled with a wide variety of flavours and aromas that bring new life to enjoying tea. We experiment with an array of flowers, leaves, spices, roots and much more to bring you our favorite concoctions.
